We recently received an enquiry from a potential client, asking if we also provided a house sitting service. The short answer was yes, and also no, because we offer what’s known as a drop-in house sitting service.
This means we don’t stay in your home overnight, but we do visit multiple times a day to carry out essential tasks around your home whilst you’re away. These can be interior tasks like watering your houseplants, bringing in mail or deliveries, opening/closing blinds and curtains or restocking your fridge with milk ready for that essential cup of tea upon your return home. We also take care of exterior tasks like watering your garden plants, putting your bins out and bringing them back in, and checking on the security of your home.
Drop-in house sitting provides the continuity and peace of mind you get with a live-in house sitter, but without the cost. We can tailor the visits to your requirements and will provide you with regular updates so you’re always in the loop and your home looks lived-in whilst you’re away.
You don’t even need to own a cat! Yes, we know we should really be called SOBO Cat Care & Drop-In House Sitting, but it’s a bit of a mouthful and didn’t sound as catchy.
