Please be aware that by booking any services offered by SOBO Cat Care you are accepting our terms and conditions.
Cat Visiting Services
Spending time with your cat is an important part of our service. We aim to stay on average for 10-15 minutes per visit. However, on occasion, visits may be less than that. Any shortfall will be made up during another visit if the schedule permits. It may not be possible to arrive at your requested time of visit due to existing schedule constraints. Visits may be grouped together for maximum efficiency.
Morning visits are typically made between 8:00am – 10:00am. Evening visits are typically made between 4:00pm – 6:00pm. Weekend visits start from 9:00am. Visits made on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and the Easter weekend may have a shorter duration due to high demand.
In the event of serious bad weather, every attempt will be made to complete the visit. You will be contacted immediately if there are any issues. Predicted weather events can be planned for with additional food and trays in case the roads are inaccessible.
Food, Bedding & Litter
All tinned, packet, fresh and dry food, hay and bedding must be provided in clearly labelled bags or containers to last the duration of the cat visiting service. Please ensure there is adequate spare cat litter plus scoop and poop bags. Also, please leave a brush for daily grooming if required. Lastly, please provide a cloth, tea towel and kitchen towel for use to clear up any fur balls or little accidents. Any used food packets will be rinsed to avoid smells developing whilst you’re away. Any additional items purchased for your cats will be charged at retail cost and added to your final balance.
Service Area
We provide our cat visiting service within Southbourne, Iford, Tuckton, Wick Village, Hengistbury Head, West Christchurch and Christchurch Town Centre. Typically these areas are within a 2 mile radius of our location (measured from Seafield Gardens BH6 3JG) and travel to these locations is included. Distances are calculated using Google Maps via the most direct route from our location to your property.
We may also be able to help within areas that are outside of the service areas listed above. This is dependent on the location and frequency of visits you require. Additional mileage charges will apply in these circumstances. Please contact us to discuss your options if this applies to you.
Key Collection, Return & Holding
Key collection from your property (if one is not provided to us during the initial consultation) will incur a fee of £5.00 if required. Alternatively, you may drop/collect them when passing our location (address provided upon request). Keys are retained after the each visit, unless agreed beforehand, in case your return dates change. The keys are then posted back through your door in a sealed envelope within three days of informing us that you are back home. Keys can be held for regular clients in the event our services are required frequently or for short notice bookings.
Payment Information
A 50% deposit will be required to secure your dates when engaging SOBO Cat Care to look after your cat(s). The outstanding balance must be paid at least three days before the care service is due to start. Payments can be made by electronic bank transfer. Please note, there is an additional charge for any visits before 8:00am and after 6:00pm.
CANCELLATIONS: The deposit will be refunded if the booking is cancelled more than 21 days before the care service is due to commence. The deposit will not be refunded if the booking is cancelled within 5-21 days prior to the commencement date. The full amount of the booking will not be refunded if cancelled within 0-5 days prior to the commencement date. SOBO Cat Care reserves the right to cancel any bookings with 14 days notice; all deposits will be refunded.
PEAK TIMES: School holidays, including Easter, Summer and Christmas periods are charged at an additional rate. All Bank Holiday weekends (including the Friday and Monday where applicable) are charged at a higher rate. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday are charged at a special rate. See our availability calendar for specific pricing. All deposits during peak holidays are non-refundable under any circumstances. All advertised prices apply to locations within a 2 mile radius of our location (measured from Seafield Gardens BH6 3JG).
On Your Return
Please contact us via text, WhatsApp, phone or email when you arrive home. We will continue visits until contact has been made, ensuring your cat is fed until you return. Please let us know as soon as possible if your return date changes. Follow up visits are charged at the standard daily rates for your location. Keys are then posted through your door within three days of your return.
Emergency Vet Care
Should a problem arise whilst you’re away, every attempt will be made to contact you using the details you have provided. If you are unreachable then SOBO Cat Care reserves the right to seek emergency veterinary care without your consent either with your local vet whose contact details you will need to provide, or the local Natterjacks Vet (BH7 6DY). Any vet fees will be charged to you and must be paid immediately to the veterinarian. Emergency vet visits will be charged at £25.00 per hour (additional to your vet bills). Please ensure a cat carrier is available for use just in case.
Photographs, Videos & Social Media
Photographs will be taken of your cat(s) and sent to you whilst you are away, to reassure you of their welfare. By booking any services offered by SOBO Cat Care you agree that any photos and/or videos taken during visits can be displayed on our social media channels and/or website. The photos will always be a close up image of your cat(s). No personal objects or other identifying background will be in the photos. SOBO Cat Care may also choose to publicly display any customer feedback on the SOBO Cat Care website and social media websites. Please contact us if you would like to opt out of either of these practices.
